Overview of VITAL BRACELET BE!
Bandai promotes the VITAL BRACELET BE! as a toy or a lifestyle choice, although on their website they also market it as an e-sport SP Band or a smartwatch. This device can be used in your daily activities, whether you are exercising or simply moving around indoors. The VITAL BRACELET BE! offers features such as caring for and training Digimon, as well as measuring your heart rate and steps during activities.
Variations and Generations
The VITAL BRACELET BE! is the second generation of the original VITAL BRACELET series. It offers various designs and improvements in appearance, shape, and firmware. Apart from nurturing Digimon, you can also interact with characters from Bandai’s popular series like Demon Slayer and Ultraman.
Features and Functionality
By pressing a button on the device, you can access the home screen which displays essential information such as the time, steps taken, and the status of the Digimon you are caring for. With options to view rankings, battle points, and evolution paths, the VITAL BRACELET BE! offers a comprehensive user experience.
VITAL BRACELET ARENA App
The VITAL BRACELET ARENA app allows you to store your characters, engage in online battles, and participate in special events. It also offers a platform to train and evolve your Digimon, providing a multifaceted gaming experience beyond just caring for your digital pets.
Pros and Cons
One of the strengths of the VITAL BRACELET BE! is its improvement over the original model in terms of design, technology, and functionality. The device encourages physical activity and offers a wide range of characters to engage with, catering to various preferences. However, there is room for improvement in terms of expandability and additional features, such as introducing new DIM cards to enhance the gaming experience.
Incomplete Features
I wish they could improve or update in the next series. The first issue with vital bracelet is the heart rate sensor. It seems to be inaccurate, especially for those who rely on heart rate monitoring for exercise. The step tracking, on the other hand, seems to be quite accurate. However, the lack of precision in heart rate monitoring is a significant drawback.
Design Flaws
The design of the vital bracelet is another area of concern. The body of the device is quite bulky compared to other smart bands in the market. The screen is relatively small in proportion to the size of the body, making it look outdated. The absence of a touchscreen interface is also a disappointment, as most modern devices are equipped with touch technology.
Missing Features
One of the missing features in the vital bracelet is the lack of a race-to-wake function. This means that you need to press a button to check the time, unlike other smartwatches that automatically display the time when you raise your wrist. This inconvenience could have been easily avoided by incorporating a simple gesture-based wake-up feature.
Durability Concerns
Another drawback of the vital bracelet is its lack of waterproofing. The device is only rated as IPX4, meaning it can withstand light splashes or rain but not immersion in water. This limitation is surprising, considering that the device is marketed for sports and outdoor activities where exposure to water is common.
User Interface Challenges
For first-time users, the buttons on the vital bracelet can be confusing. It is not immediately clear which button serves as the confirmation button or the back button. This can lead to navigation issues, especially when trying to return to the main menu or switch between options. The reliance on physical buttons instead of a touch screen interface adds unnecessary complexity to the user experience.
Dim Card Functionality
The Dim card is an interesting accessory for the vital bracelet, allowing users to input new characters into the device. The Dim card comes in the form of a micro SD card and contains different characters for customization. While some users prefer the first version of the Dim card for its aesthetic appeal and the plastic card it comes with, both versions serve the same purpose of adding characters to the vital bracelet.
Unboxing Experience
You can put it in your card case or display it on your table, and it looks good because there are character pictures that match each Dim card. Compared to the second version, or what we call be memory, which is only compatible with their bracelet, it only comes in this simple form and cardboard packaging. So when you open the cardboard packaging and discard it, you are left with a plastic micro SD to store it, there are various kinds of containers, but I usually use a container that they actually sell themselves. You can put everything inside this container, and in my opinion, it looks quite neat and tidy. For those who have the older version, you can store your Dim card in the back of the container, making it look very clean and neat. So if you prefer the first or second version of the Dim card that both look good, it all comes down to your preference for the characters.
New Characters
If you are more into new characters like Jujutsu Demon, Slayer, My Hero Academia, and the new Digimon in the seekers and ghost game era, you will find a lot of new characters in the be memory or the second version of the Dim card. So, it ultimately depends on which characters you are interested in, as there are plenty of options to explore.
Personal Experience
That’s approximately what I can share about the Vital Bracelet. Not everyone may agree with what I have shared, as everyone’s preferences vary. Some may think, “Oh, this feature is already good enough.” Which is perfectly fine. I am just sharing my experiences as a user who has been using it for almost three years.
Design and Build Quality
The Vital Bracelet BE! Digivice is a device that caught my eye with its sleek and stylish design. It exudes a certain charm that makes it stand out from other smartwatches on the market. The build quality is top-notch, with durable materials that ensure it can withstand daily wear and tear. However, there are some features that could be improved to make it even more appealing to consumers.
Functionality and Features
In terms of functionality, the Vital Bracelet BE! Digivice offers a wide range of features that cater to health and fitness enthusiasts. From tracking your steps and calories burned to monitoring your heart rate and sleep patterns, this device has it all. The ability to customize notifications and alerts is also a nice touch, allowing users to stay connected without being glued to their phones. However, there are certain aspects that could be enhanced to provide a more seamless user experience.
Performance and Battery Life
When it comes to performance, the Vital Bracelet BE! Digivice delivers on its promises. The device operates smoothly, with minimal lag or glitches. The battery life is impressive, lasting for days on a single charge. This ensures that users can rely on the device to keep them informed and motivated throughout the day. However, there are certain optimizations that could be made to improve the overall performance and enhance the user experience.
The Vital Bracelet BE! Digivice is a versatile and feature-rich device that caters to a wide range of users. With its stylish design, extensive functionality, and impressive performance, it has the potential to be a game-changer in the smartwatch market. While there are areas that could be improved, overall, I am quite satisfied with the device and hope that my sharing of this review will be beneficial to those looking to upgrade from the original Fighter bracelet to the Fighter.
