Catching the Smartwatch Experience on a Budget
Smartwatches have become a popular trend among technology enthusiasts. However, not everyone can afford the high price tag that comes with these devices. Luckily, there are budget-friendly options available that still offer a great smartwatch experience. One such option is the Oppo Band Generation 1, which has recently dropped in price to Rp 299,000.
Long Battery Life and Simple Design
One of the main reasons why I chose the Oppo Band Generation 1 is its long battery life. Unlike my previous smartwatch, which only lasted for two days on a single charge, this smartband can easily go for several days without needing to be charged. Additionally, I appreciate the simplicity of its design. I didn’t want a smartband that resembled a watch; I preferred something more straightforward.
Feels and Build Quality
The Oppo Band Generation 1 also impressed me with its overall feels and build quality. Even though it doesn’t have the same premium feel as a watch, it still feels sturdy and well-made. I didn’t want a smartband that tried to mimic the appearance of a watch; I prioritized simplicity instead.
Screen Size and Readability
The only downside I found with the Oppo Band Generation 1 is its screen size. The narrower display makes it a bit inconvenient for reading texts, as the text often gets cut off and needs to be scrolled. On the other hand, Oppo also offers a more watch-like smartband called the Oppo Band 2. However, it comes with a higher price tag of Rp 900,000, which may not be suitable for those on a tighter budget.
Choosing the Right Smartband for Your Budget
If your budget is around Rp 500,000 and you’re looking for a smartband that offers a similar experience to a smartwatch, I would recommend the Huawei Band 8 or the Oppo Band Generation 1. They both provide excellent value for the price and won’t disappoint.
