So i know a lot of you guys have been asking me from my previous amazfit bbq video on when i can get my hands on the gps version, which is the pro right here, and i finally got it, and i want to share my experience with you. Guys, but before i do that, i just want to say thank you to dasher for providing me with this test unit right here. So i can share all my experiences and thoughts on this device here with you guys so let’s jump into the full video right away. So just so, you guys know the pricing for the bitu pro is actually very close to the bpu. The bpu costs about 219 ringgit here in malaysia and, of course, different pricing in different countries, but you only need to add 50 ringgit or about 10 us dollars. Maybe 12 us dollars to get the bpu pro with gps built in so this is actually a very, very good device here, a very good, affordable budget. Smart watch for those of you who are actually serious about your sports or your activities, and you want to track them with the gps. So today, we’re going to check out this amazing bp, pro and without further ado uh here is the watch right here all right. So today i actually have both devices side by side. This is the bpu, and this is the bpu pro they’re. Exactly the same, they look exactly the same as well same.
Specs are same display here. The only difference is the bpu pro comes with that gps. All right, so just a quick look in case you guys are new here, but let me just put down this guy for a second and take a look at the bpu pro so materials wise. We still get that plastics all over the body of the watch itself. At the front here we have a 1.43 inch lcd display that doesn’t support always on display. So usually when you buy your smartwatch and it comes with an amoled display. Those are great for always on displays, but with an lcd if you just turn on the display throughout the entire day, it’s just going to drain the battery so that doesn’t come with this watch right here. All right. Moving on let’s take a quick look at the straps. We do have these tiny latches here at the back again, so they’re very easy to swap out overall in terms of comfort and build quality wise build quality. I have no issues at all. I mean for the price you’re getting a pretty decent smart watch here and comfort wise because it is so slim and the straps are actually very thin, which actually is a good thing for me, because i wear this to bed at night so to track your sleeps. So definitely very comfortable on the wrist all right. So the main thing here really is about that gps and yeah one more thing, and it is that it supports the alexa assistant so i’m, not really able to sign into my alexa account here.
But you can see you can actually activate it here to give it some commands. This watch actually comes with a mic, so that is actually the second difference here that i missed out earlier on compared to the amazefit bpu. So pro version comes with gps and the mic which you will use for the voice assistant over here, all right. So, apart from that alexa assistant, because i don’t have it running yet so i can’t really comment on how accurate it is, but i assume it will work just well. Meanwhile, the main thing like i said i want to talk about here is the gps itself. So if you notice, when you just go into your into a list of menus right here and you go into your workout mode, usually on this watch, it will prompt you to actually use your smartphone to get the gps signal, but on the amazefit bpu pro. If you just choose something like outdoor running notice, that you do have that tiny gps icon at the top and it will search for your gps automatically all right so now, i’m. Currently in my room, uh upstairs like in like a fifth sixth floor or whatever. So obviously we won’t get a gps reading here because it doesn’t really work indoors, but i did try it outdoors earlier on and i was able to get a decent signal within about 15 seconds of activating the gps. All right so expect to get this kind of timing.
When you want to use the gps for this device, i would say that it is actually pretty accurate, especially if you’re in an open area. So if you’re in areas like uh has like a lot of buildings nearby you or if you are the kind of person who runs in the car park or just like indoor settings, it won’t really be able to detect the gps very accurately. But if you’re, actually outdoors out in the sun on the road or whatnot, you will be able to lock onto gps in about 10 to 15 seconds, depending on where you are located all right, so that’s it about the gps. Meanwhile, i just want to show you the activities that we do have in this watch, which is exactly the same as the bit you by the way, so just to show it to you guys, because those who buy this watch will want to check out the activities List uh: we have your runs here, as always your cyclings. You also have your walking your swimming, so this tracks, your swims as well. You have your rope skipping your yoga free exercise, lots of activities here, badminton cricket dancing and all that – and you can even hit more sports here to actually access more different kinds of spots. All at the back here. So amazing is saying that this watch can track up to 50 or 60 activities, if i’m not mistaken, so that’s that on the amazefit.
U pro all right, the next thing i want to talk about here very quickly is the notifications, and this is how it looks like on the watch itself. So you swipe up from the bottom, and here you can see a couple of you know, notifications going on. I would say that the size of the fonts are actually decent, so it’s, not too small, even though the screen is a bit smaller, but you can see the fonts here very clearly so very good for your notifications and notice that it scrolls actually fairly decently, quite Smooth, i would say, and not that laggy, unlike some other watches, all right so that’s it for the notifications. If you pull down from the top here, you can access a couple of quick shortcuts. We only have four over here, so not too much over there and, of course, if you just swipe through here, you’ll get all your widgets. I have my weather here, my pi pai. I also have my stress tracking my spo2 readings, so this actually tracks your spo too. On that note, this actually takes about 30 seconds to track to measure your spo2 readings, and you must remain super still like. Even if you move a little bit uh, it will just ruin the entire measurement, so you’ll have to do it all over again, so that’s that for this watch it does comes with that. Of course, we also comes with your all day, heart rate tracking, which is pretty good it’s, pretty much very accurate by now all this kind of stuff, all right.
So, apart from that, like i said, the bpu pro is also very good at tracking your sleeps at night, your naps, all those i’ve done very well on the amaze speed beep you pro all right. So in terms of watch phases, we have a lot of watch phases here and i’m going to show it to you right here. We have about 50. Different kinds of watch faces a lot of interesting ones, but i decided to go with something that shows the time very clearly because that’s the most important thing. When you look at your watch, but yeah, we have about 50 watch phases as of today, and what i like about the zap app, which you use with the amazing watches, is that the activities shown here are actually pretty accurate. You have very good visibility on your activities that you do so just now. I went for a quick jog about 1.3 km, and here you can see your workout time. You can also see your pace, whether you are going fast or slow, so you can also see your heart rate here. So i like the fact that this app is very polished by now, usually when you buy into a new smart watch, you also want to check out the app to make sure that everything is running properly, not like some other chinese brands, which just doesn’t show it Up very clearly like this, so this is a good thing for the app of course, when i wasn’t wearing the watch, i didn’t get a heart rate tracking over here, so those of you who are still worried that you might get a heart rate moving on, even When not wearing the watch, don’t worry about that.
You don’t see that here. Apart from that, this is pretty good. So this is all the kind of activities that you can see or track on the amazefit bibu pro and once again for the price of 269 ringgit. Again here in malaysia, i would say that this watch is actually the one to actually check out if you’re looking for a budget. Smart watch all right i’m, almost at the end of the video.
