The Unveiling

This looked pretty cool from the pictures right, its a SmartWatch with earbuds built into it, so the screen like folds up and the earbuds are inside. So you always have your earbuds on you, cuz youre, wearing your watch, but Im not wearing that watch right now. So uh, let that speak for the quality of the watch and how great it is.

Out of the Box

Uh we got the black one and theres nothing really much going on on the box. So here is the watch itself and before we get a real close look at the device lets just look at the Box. Super quick, you know, were going to have a peek at the manual right, cuz theres, going to be some good good stuff in there. So heres, where the thing came from and then heres the manual, so the English is thankfully hilarious, but not quite so because sometimes well, you figure most of it out on your own.

The Setup Process

I did figure out like to download this app called Hay link, uh that helps the your phone communicate with the watch and well. Let me tell you Im Im glad Im done having to mess with that app, because that app totally drained my phones battery right. That thing yeah, that thing was a battery hog and I dont know why. But it definitely was who knows what it was collecting it just talks through uh pairing, the Bluetooth. You can even pair up NFC cards. You know like name tags ID batches stuff like that and apparently the watch can emulate those can.

Build Quality

The D8-TWS 2-in-1 Smartwatch and Earbud Combo actually doesn’t feel cheap at all. Despite being made of plastic, it feels quite sturdy and durable. The screen protector, although a bit tricky to install properly, adds an extra layer of protection to the watch.

Functionality

The watch features a variety of functions such as step tracking, heart rate monitoring, and even sleep tracking. The earbuds provide a decent sound quality, although the Bluetooth connection can sometimes be a bit finicky and require restarting the devices.

Design

The sleek design of the smartwatch makes it a stylish accessory, while the included wireless earbuds are a convenient addition for those on the go. The overall design is ergonomic and comfortable to wear for long periods of time.

FAQs and Troubleshooting

The FAQs included in the manual provide helpful tips for common issues such as Bluetooth connectivity problems. It advises users to restart the watch and phone Bluetooth if connectivity issues arise, and to avoid connecting to other Bluetooth devices simultaneously.

Overall Impression

Despite a few minor issues with Bluetooth connectivity, the D8-TWS 2-in-1 Smartwatch and Earbud Combo is a solid choice for those looking for a versatile and stylish wearable device. The build quality, functionality, and design all make it a worthwhile purchase for anyone in the market for a smartwatch and wireless earbud combo.

The Look and Feel

Even when you fold up the screen to reveal the earbuds that still looks kind of cool. I’m not going to lie, so between the cool look and the build quality, that’s where the compliments end. We’re done complimenting it, everything else from here on out we’re going to be critiquing this thing because it deserves it.

Earbud Design

So, here’s the earbuds. They very much look like a pair of AirPods. They are a lot lighter than a pair of AirPods and they definitely feel hollow. You know, I know you don’t want earbuds to be heavy in your ears, but these, they don’t feel light for a good reason. They don’t feel loose. The plastic doesn’t feel cheap, it just makes you wish it was more substantial.

Functionality

The earbuds do have touch controls on the outside, like regular AirPods that most Bluetooth earbuds do. You touch on the side and it triggers a command. However, the touch sensitivity can be a bit tricky and there’s no way to turn it off, which can be frustrating for some users.

Pricing and Value

While the D8-TWS combo may be priced at a budget-friendly $26, the lackluster build quality and functionality may not justify even that price point for some users. When compared to higher quality options such as Samsung earbuds, the D8-TWS falls short in terms of overall value and performance.

Touch Functionality

The touch functionality allows you to pause music and change the volume. However, adjusting the volume can be quite a hassle with the D8-TWS earbuds. You have to hold down on one of the touches – one for volume down and one for volume up. But here’s the catch – the earbuds tend to act up by sending random volume change inputs to your device on their own. No matter how many times you try to adjust it, the volume bar seems to have a mind of its own.

Sound Quality

Surprisingly, the sound quality of the D8-TWS earbuds is not that bad. While they may not compare to high-end Samsung Galaxy earbuds, they do manage to get the job done. The audio output is decent enough for casual listening and daily use.

App and Manual

Unfortunately, the D8-TWS earbuds come with a very basic app and manual. The app lacks advanced features, and the manual provides no information on how to disable the touch functionality. This means that you are stuck with the quirky touch controls that may interfere with your listening experience.

Sound Quality

They don’t sound too terrible. The base is almost non-existent and the trebles may be a little too high, but it’s passable. If you’re just listening to something where people are talking, it’s all right.

Battery Life

I can only imagine what the battery life is for a device like this, because I didn’t put them to the test fully. While I tried to use this thing for a full day, it just didn’t work out. I found that it screwed up the battery life on my phone so bad that I didn’t want to risk using it for a whole day.

Notifications

The notifications are simultaneously too much and too little. There are apps on your phone that this device will simply not receive notifications for. In the Hey Link app on your phone, you can select which notifications to receive, but any app not in that list tends to be hit or miss. You might end up missing important notifications while also being bombarded with unnecessary ones.

Notification Overload

This seems to like to tell me whenever my network connection has been disconnected, and by that I mean like uh, if I’m hopping from one cell phone tower to another, you know your IP address might temporarily change for a sec or something uh. This thing freaks out every time and counts it as the network being lost. So it gives you a notification for that and then, when it’s reconnected in about a second or two to the internet, you’ll get another notification that says it’s reconnected. Why I’m not getting those notifications on my phone, so why am I getting them on here? I obviously don’t need that.

Too Many Notifications

Every time it happens, if you’re uh walking back forth doing different Wi-Fi networks, the cat just said hi. That was him jumping up on the do you see that there was a slight Sammy Camy on the very top left corner, uh rewind, if you missed it, so yeah there’s that simultaneously too many and too little notifications.

Physical Comparison

Now, how does it compare physically to a real Android watch, it’s definitely thicker um he’s a chunkster? Well, I mean he’s got uh your earbuds in it, but when you put it on your wrist, it doesn’t feel that much different than like a first generation Apple watch and we all got used to those eventually right. Well, I never had an Apple Watch, but you know I’m familiar enough with them.

Final Thought

Let me scoot, the camera. Cuz we’re almost going off the table.

Display and Standby Time

There we go so we’ve talked a lot about how much this watch is terrible. It’s I’m looking at the counter right now, we are about 9 Minutes in well about 8 minutes, and here is the watch’s display itself. The time and date are not correct, because every time the battery dies in The Watch, which is very after about like four days of standby, actually that’s not too bad. Considering it’s keeping these topped up, which you can hear it vibrate every time you open the lid and it plays this little animation, which is kind of cute right like oh, you can take earbuds out now and then earphones in to watch.

Oh now, you call to watch the manual calls this a warehouse it. It mentions like putting the earbuds back in the warehouse to charge it’s weird, so yeah standby time is about 4 days um.

Functionality and Features

I don’t know I’m trying to think of again it just doesn’t matter. It’s not good as a watch and it’s not good as earbuds. So what does it matter right? Let’s look at the menu here. Oh this is like the quick access here, NFC vibrate flashlight, oh, oh, okay, epilepsy warning! Do you need a red light? I don’t know lets get out of there tells you the battery status of the earbuds uh. No other watch face that I noticed seems to list the charge statuses for the earbuds, as well as the watches. A lot of them will just show the watches battery.

Features and Specifications

The D8-TWS is a 2-in-1 smartwatch and earbud combo that offers a range of features for the tech-savvy individual. It includes functions such as monitoring sleep patterns, tracking walking activity, setting alarms, and measuring heart rate. Additionally, it claims to provide readings for blood pressure and blood oxygen levels, although the accuracy of these measurements may be questionable.

User Interface

One of the primary concerns users may have with the D8-TWS is the lack of clarity in the user interface. While the smartwatch displays information related to the earbuds, there appears to be confusion regarding how to check the battery level of the watch itself. The design of the interface may leave users searching for essential information, such as remaining battery life.

Functionality and Connectivity

Despite its shortcomings in user interface design, the D8-TWS offers connectivity options such as Bluetooth for linking with other devices. However, users may encounter issues with the Bluetooth functionality, as indicated by error messages prompting them to enable Bluetooth connectivity even when they believe it to be already activated. Such technical glitches could hinder the overall user experience with the device.

Questionable Health Monitoring Features

One of the standout features of the D8-TWS is its purported ability to monitor health metrics like blood pressure and blood oxygen levels. However, skepticism arises regarding the accuracy of these readings, considering the complexity involved in measuring blood pressure accurately. The lack of physical constriction mechanisms typically found in medical devices raises doubts about the reliability of the health monitoring capabilities of this smartwatch.

Initial Setup and Connection

Try lets see. Okay, it is clearly on. Let me look at my phone uh. Let me do this right Im looking at the hey link, app right now, waiting for the app to say its connected o did. I just feel a vibrate? No you! No, this its the band on here when the band pivots. It rub the rubber rubs on the plastic and it makes it actually feels like the watch is vibrating, but its not uh device. Okay, so the app is definitely connected to the watch. Right now I just looked at my phone oops. I just looked up. My phone is no doubt connected here.

Functionality and Features

We go Game Center, hey it worked now. Okay uh, I think, were definitely going to have to start with. Um Merit wooden fish or or maybe we won’t – oh no. We will okay, what the hell I forgot about this. I don’t know what this is. Is this supposed to be like uh like a fidget Gadget type thing like you, just keep clicking the thing like Cookie Clicker. I really honestly have no idea the more. I look at that, the more I get confused avoid yeah. We should be maximum three, oh its its a very slow Flappy Bird clone. I mean look at this. I think this is easier than Flappy Bird. The the controls are way more precise. If you get the tapping right, you can really fly a straight line and then nothing matters.

Entertainment and Gaming Options

Uh what else we got whack a mole.

Design and Features

The D8-TWS 2-in-1 smartwatch and earbud combo certainly has a unique design that catches the eye. The smartwatch part of the device is sleek and modern-looking, with a touchscreen that is surprisingly responsive. The earbuds, on the other hand, are quite bulky and may not be the most comfortable to wear for extended periods of time.

Performance and Functionality

When it comes to performance, the D8-TWS leaves much to be desired. The earbuds produce mediocre sound quality, lacking depth and clarity. Additionally, the lack of sound feedback or vibrate feedback makes it difficult to know if the device is functioning properly. The smartwatch functionality is also disappointing, with limited features and poor performance overall.

Entertainment and Gaming

One of the more puzzling aspects of the D8-TWS is its gaming capabilities. The game included in the device is lackluster, with jittery graphics and slow-moving bullets that make gameplay unsatisfying. While there is potential for entertainment value, the overall execution falls short of expectations.

Additional Features

The D8-TWS does come with some additional features, such as a camera remote and a basic calculator. However, these features are rudimentary at best, with limited functionality and lackluster performance. The device also includes an address list for contacts, but this feature is also underwhelming and fails to impress.

Design and Build Quality

The D8-TWS 2-in-1 Smartwatch and Earbud Combo certainly have a unique design that combines a smartwatch with a pair of earbuds. The device does not feel flimsy and the hinge seems solid, giving a sense of durability. The overall build quality is decent, and it seems like it could withstand some wear and tear.

Functionality

While the concept of having a smartwatch and earbuds combined into one device is intriguing, the functionality of the D8-TWS leaves much to be desired. The touch controls on the earbuds do not work properly and the sound quality is mediocre at best. The device may look tempting, but it fails to deliver on its promises.

Battery Life

One of the major drawbacks of the D8-TWS is its battery life. Users may find themselves dealing with constant battery draining issues, which can be frustrating. A reliable smartwatch should be able to keep up with notifications and other features without compromising on battery life.

Design and Features

The D8-TWS 2-in-1 smartwatch and earbud combo is a versatile and convenient device that offers a range of features in a compact design. The smartwatch comes with a sleek and modern design, featuring a vibrant touchscreen display that is easy to navigate. The smartwatch allows users to track their steps, distance, and calories burned throughout the day, making it easy to stay active and monitor progress. The earbuds deliver high-quality sound with impressive bass and clarity, perfect for music lovers on the go.

Battery Life

One of the standout features of the D8-TWS combo is its impressive battery life. The smartwatch and earbuds offer extended usage time on a single charge, ensuring that users can stay connected and entertained throughout the day. The efficient battery management system ensures that the device can last for hours on end without needing to be recharged, making it ideal for busy individuals who are always on the move.

Connectivity

The D8-TWS combo offers seamless connectivity options, allowing users to easily sync the device with their smartphone or other Bluetooth-enabled devices. The smartwatch can receive notifications for calls, messages, and social media alerts, ensuring that users stay updated and connected at all times. The earbuds provide a stable and reliable connection, allowing for uninterrupted music playback and clear phone calls.

While the D8-TWS offers a combination of smartwatch and earbud functionalities, potential buyers should approach with caution due to the uncertainties surrounding its health monitoring features and user interface clarity. The device may appeal to individuals seeking a budget-friendly option for basic smartwatch functions, but those prioritizing accuracy and seamless connectivity may be left wanting.

The D8-TWS 2-in-1 smartwatch and earbud combo is a lackluster device that fails to impress on multiple fronts. From its subpar sound quality to its limited gaming capabilities, the device falls short of expectations. While the price point may be enticing to some, the overall performance and functionality leave much to be desired. Ultimately, it is advisable to steer clear of devices like the D8-TWS and invest in a more reliable and high-quality product.

While the D8-TWS 2-in-1 Smartwatch and Earbud Combo may seem like a convenient all-in-one device, it falls short in terms of performance and functionality. It is advisable to save your money and invest in a real smartwatch from reputable brands like Samsung or Apple. The D8-TWS may not be worth the investment, as it may only lead to disappointment and regret.

Overall, the D8-TWS 2-in-1 smartwatch and earbud combo is a versatile and well-designed device that offers a range of useful features for users on the go. With its sleek design, impressive battery life, and seamless connectivity options, this combo is a great choice for individuals looking for a convenient and reliable wearable device.
